Why you need to visit the beaches in Cebu

1

The crashing waves, the setting sun, where people are laughing and embracing under the sunset and the sand squishing slowly through the toes are beaches. Thunder booms while the atmosphere relieves itself of unwanted moisture. What could be more exciting than living in a place where your plans could be intruded upon so abrasively by a cause you cannot control?
Beach bummers perpetually search for beaches to loaf around. Thankfully, Cebu has many beautiful beaches. Their seclusion and volcanic history have endowed them with some of the most stunning beaches on the planet, from scenic expanses of white sand to isolated volcanic coves. Some prefer beach with a long stretch of powdery white sand and crystal clear water. While other prefer a secluded beach where you can do anything you wanted to without worrying that somebody or someone is looking at you. The following are some beautiful beaches in Cebu that when you come to this amazing city you’ll need to visit.  Some I’ve seen some I still need to experience.

Santiago Beach
It isn’t the gorgeous windswept sands that attract visitors to Santiago Beach and it’s the winds themselves! This beautiful stretch of white-sand beach is a Mecca for wind-surfing, kite-surfing, kayaking and swimming.

Malapascua
This small island off Cebu’s northern tip is legendary among divers from all over the world who flock there for its crystal waters, abundant marine life, friendly locals and laid-back vibe.

Bantayan Island
Apart from its idyllic shores, the island is famous for its seafood buffets and lively bars, which help Bantayan’s reputation as a relaxed beach getaway for those who really want to-get-away.

The beach at Shangri-la Mactan
This is the only man-made beach on the list, but it deserves its spot. The resort is a world-renowned destination in itself. This tranquil and tropical getaway is perfect for romance and a favorite for marriage ceremonies.

Moalboal
Moalboal is at the southwestern tip of Cebu, facing the island of Negros and the Tanon Strait. Panagsama Beach is where most of the resorts are located, and then there’s White Beach to the north—a pristine piece of heaven, and is primarily known as a diving paradise

Luyang, Carmen
Carmen’s hidden gem! Clean, natural, quiet. Perfect for an afternoon read or long chats with people who matter! A must-visit. Luyang is heaven on earth with pristine sands, turquoise water, calm waves and lush tropical plants.

Samboan
Samboan gives you an excellent view of the island of Negros. It’s perfect for lazy daydreams and recollections. The mud-flats are perfect for afternoon shell-hunting, too!

Tingko, Alcoy
A crowd favorite! Tingko is a perfect pit-stop for weary and bored southern travelers. When you reach Tingko, get off the bus, take a few hours off, and just dive in!

Dalaguete
After a quick swim at Obong Spring, check out the splendid white beach just a couple of steps away! It sure is a beauty!

Foreign tourists and local travelers alike, visiting Cebu is always included in the bucket list being one of the top tourist destinations in Philippines. This banana-shaped island is extremely accessible, with international flights from many Asian hubs flying right into Cebu Province. Whether in a month long vacation or simply winding up for a day, Cebu Beaches are something that one shouldn’t miss.
